Struggle

Compared to thursday night, saturday night was rather bland.. kind of. I’ll start from friday night though. Originally, the plan was going to be head into town for Terry’s birthday. Well, considering I wasn’t doing too much during the day on friday, I was kind of tired as it was. Anyway, I’m sitting at my desk drinking away, kind of waiting for a message and not at the same time. Well, by around 10 I was already starting to just not feel as though I wanted to head out to town. That and considering I was already drinking, I was starting to feel kind of lethargic, and I just had no real urge to head into town. Sure enough, I kind of passed out on my desk and woke up around half an hour later with my beer still half full and music still playing. How totally and utterly boring. A rather uneventful night if you ask me. Saturday rolled by without any real problems or anything like that, other than Rod being just a general asshole about the whole working situation, and treating us all like we were incompetent. Daryl and I people watched in the eatery for around an hour or so, just kind of watching people and laughing at their rather obscure ways. It was kind of boring, but at the same time it was incredibly tiring. Oh. While we were there though, I think we were being stared at by some random girl in the eatery for a while there too. Work was kind of boring though, I mean, apart from randomly having Boyd ask me to get something done or something like that, I was out the back playing with clothes again. So yes.
Well, I was kind of unsure what was going to be happening saturday night though, I mean, I had run into Nick while I was at work and he wasn’t too sure what he was going to be doing. At first, I was meant to be going to Barbara’s birthday at Lewinsky’s, but no one kind of wanted to go. Well, in the end, I find out that Charlie still wanted to go, and as did Timmy. Eventually we wound up having Charlie drive us in there, so that was pretty good. Well, when I got home, there was just a shit fight there to begin with, my parents were on my nerves for some odd reason. I wasn’t too sure what time Charlie was going to be heading over to pick me up (I was thinking around 7:30 or something like that) so mum started to cook me dinner (around 7) saying it would take 20 minutes to finish. Then, it’s 10 past 7 and Charlie is waiting out the front for me. Crap damnit. I’m not going to be eating tonight am I? So I averted eating at home, and got dressed. I kind of wanted to eat while at Lewinsky’s, but I kind of needed to save money, so I just kind of stuck to alcohol while I was there.
We’re sitting around in the bar area, Patty’s already made an absolute fool out of herself already (screaming, and shit like that) and Daniel decides that he was going to be drinking and that we should head off to his place to get more drinks (and so he could drop his car off.) We return and I snuck a beer in to Lewinsky’s and everyone is sitting down waiting for the meals to come out. By then, everyone else was nice and drunk and happy, so it was pretty good. A shame I didn’t eat there, but ah well. Around 10 most people were starting to get bored and I kind of wanted to move on aswell, so I dunno what happened, but the plan was to head to the Deckbar. Well, I’m walking along, and for the start of what happens throughout the night, I lost everyone I was walking with. Proper job. I wandered in the Deckbar, see no one in there, pretend like I peed (in the toilets of course) walked back out. Well what the fuck! So I just started walking down to Discovery, and I kind of got sidetracked at Cold Rock. I was there for a bit, chatting to Michael (the guy that owns/runs the business, I think.) Eventually, I got some free ice cream and started to walk back to the Deck Bar. By then, I find out that they were indeed at there, just on the verandah part (why didn’t anyone grab me when they saw me walking off again? If indeed they did.) We were there for maybe an hour or so, probably a little less. By then, I was getting sick of sitting around with people I barely knew (other than those from kmart who I only spoke to some of them anyway) and I just wanted to head off somewhere else.
So, Patty, Martin (not the Martin most of us know, kmart Martin), Katherine and myself start walking down to Disco and stood in line. Meanwhile Daniel didn’t want to leave just yet because he still had a drink to finish off. Anyway. While standing in the line though, just as I was about to get in, oh hey, it’s Jeremy! Huzzah! Someone I can drink and chat to while there. Get in and It’s fairly busy already (I think it was just a little after midnight), Jeremy and I did the first thing on the list; go and find a drink. We went up to the top bar and there must have been a couple of parties going on at that point, because there were balloons everywhere, and there were people wearing the party bus shirts everywhere. Much like the cool cats we were, we get upstairs and see heaps of people we knew, so I kind of knew that there wasn’t going to be nothing to do. Let’s see, I’m upstairs for 2 seconds and I had already seen: Jackson, Keisha, Jodie, Rachel, and Daniel decided he’d grace us with his presence again. It’s odd, well, not really odd (Daryl and I were discussing this when we were at lunch) but Keisha seems more happy that she knows us. Sure, that sounds pretty pathetic in writing, but I mean, normally, some people that we are introduced to by other friends don’t really talk to us much (if that makes any sense.) Oh don’t get me wrong here, Keisha’s awesome. Ah well. Anyway. We were upstairs for a while, I had my standing position for a while, chatting to Jodie and Jeremy, or at least until someone decided they wanted my spot. Bastards!
Eventually, I went wandering around Disco, see if I recognised anyone wandering around or not. I think I ended up on the dancefloor with Daniel, Jodie, Tess, and Patty for a while. I did see Boyd on the dancefloor though! Then we all kind of broke off. I ended back upstairs and I’m sitting down watching when hey, someone just grabbed my nipple and hey, It’s Martin! Then it was Kirsty and Laura! I found myself back at the bar again and I saw Hayley, Michael, Litsa and Danielle. By now, it was around 1 in the morning and there was a whole bunch of people I knew at Disco. The night continued on, found myself on the dancefloor for a fair bit of the night. I got down there, and I saw Jesse for the first time in a very long time. Holy crap! What’s going on Jesse! Nothing’s changed with that child. Eventually, the night come to an end and I wandered out and stood around waiting for something to happen. Eventually, I decided I was going to head down to Maccas to get a feed, only because I had lost everyone else that I had seen throughout the night (in other words, no way of getting home.) When I had seen Jeremy again! So we head off to Darwin Central to wake up Daniel so we could get his ass home before he had to work (he was passed out at Patty’s hotel room.) Along the way there though, Jeremy and I were kind of looking around darwin. To start off with, we walked past a construction site. Well, Jeremy managed to jump over the fence before the next thing we saw was a torch light coming from a car parked around 10 metres away from us. Meanwhile I hadn’t made it over the fence yet, so I ran the opposite way, and Jeremy was forced to jump back over the fence. Meanwhile this guy with the torch was sitting in his car, by himself waiting for something. Anyway, we continued our way down the one way street, and Jeremy spots something. Yes, it was a backpackers pool area, and he thinks he saw some naked ladies swimming in there.
Naked ladies you say? We go in closer to inspect, only to find out the worse possible. A pool full of naked blokes. Fuck. We stumbled upon fags having a skinny dip. So we’re arguing with them, and they were just generally being rude, so Jeremy and I call them faggots and run off. By then, I was pissed off at a number of things, and I went looking for something to throw at them. Hey, bins. So I grab a garbage bag full and just lob it in their general direction. I’m not sure what happened with it, I got bored. As we were continuing our way along, we were almost at the hotel. We kind of stood around trying to think who was awake and how the hell we were going to be able to get home. By now, it was around 5, and everyone had fucked off, and it was going to be impossible to get a taxi. Cutting out the angry sections where I ripped open a Jeep’s window, threw a pallet at some firedoors, we went and sat down opposite shags and waited while Daniel had his dad come and pick us up. By then, I had managed to cut myself on a fan, and I was
. I didn’t really want to be anymore of an annoyance to Daniel’s dad, so I walked from Daniel’s place to my house. On the way home though, I think I opened up one of Woolies containers (they didn’t lock it properly), threw a bottle I found on the road and watched it smash when I realised this guy was standing in his yard. In the dark. By himself. I acknowledged him, just to creep him out, and continued on my way.
I get home, and get to bed. In the process though, I managed to break my birthday table number that I stole from Lewinsky’s, so I was grr’ing at that aswell. So yes, a fairly unproductive, and aggrivating saturday night if you ask me. Well, my car went off to the panel beaters saturday aswell, so hopefully that’ll be done soon. Sunday was incredibly unproductive, I spent a couple of hours being watched on the internet, and now it’s early monday morning. Hopefully I should get my new webcam tomorrow, so I’ll get that setup permanently and link it here somewhere. Right now, I might see if I can get some sleep.
Just a quick edit, I’ve got my webcam setup proper now, so you can view me while on the internet! So click, view and chat, if you see me there, chances are I’ll reply :-)
