Ah friday night was the biggest piece of shit ever. Not counting work which was a pain in my ass as usual, but my parents had decided that they were sick of me not saying anything to them and such. So when I got home from work (I was going to head over to Nick’s), I noticed that the toaster was out in the kitchen and thought “hey, maybe dad didn’t cook me dinner”. So I went and got ready and said I was leaving, I didn’t make it very far considering dad told me to sit down because “we need to have a talk”. They then both screamed into a you aren’t spending enough time with us blah blah blah, which then turned into a you do nothing for us and treat us like shit. Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. I was then told that if I were to continue my behaviour that I needed to take everything out of my room and leave; get out; move out; fuck off. Honestly, I’m seriously contemplating that. Finding a unit or something and living there away from my parents and then see what they say. Of course I know it’ll be the biggest pain in my ass to actually do that and live, but it’ll convey a point to my parents. Fucked if I know what point, but a point would be drawn. Eventually they stopped their whine and left to Nick’s!
There were supposed to be wimmin and people at Nick’s place, but apparently that must have fallen through, because all that were there was Nick, Craig, Fat Jack and a couple of girls. Lies told to me! I think it must have been because most people were “trying” to get some sleep before bass in the grass. Craig was there in a work vehicle and before he had to go back to work we went for a drive in this work vehicle. Oh, before that though, he tried and tried again to smoke the car up or at least do some kind of wheel screaming manoeuvre but to no avail. I tried to get a video of his antics, but he failed us all. Ah well, after being told not to do anything stupid by Nick’s dad because apparently the nextdoor neighbour was sick of stupid things happening, we got in the car and went for a drive around near Cas. beach. When I mean we, there were 5 people in the car. A full car while Craig was trying to whip it around corners and such. Haha, weeee! Cruising in and out of side streets I was having a ball in the front seat, although my heart was kind of moving up near my throat, it didn’t jump out. Anyway, got down to the car park at the beach where I swear there was some dodgy drug deal going on there, gangsta’s everywhere and people trying to act sly in the dark. Because we were in a new commodore, and the detectives normally drive around in those types of cars, we all reckon we scared the crap out of them. What we should have done was have the windows up and slowly drive past them, then see what they would have done. Instead, we had the windows down and my arm out the window. Damnit!
So we sped up to the other end of the car park where it was basically just open and covered in loose gravel. So there were were, doing figure eights around the trees in the middle of the car park, wheels’a screamin’! There were a few times where Craig nearly slammed us into a tree here and the pylons on the side of the road. Scary stuff that, considering the girls in the back were pissing themselves. Ah well. The stupid things kids do while bored with a new car. Eventually we got back to Nick’s place and went off to the airport to go and visit Craig while he was working. Last time I was in the airport, I had two lighters in my pocket and I was hinted by the security guard there (at the x-ray machine thingy) that you can only have one lighter. Well fuck if I wasn’t as useless as I was last time, but here I am with two lighters and Nick with something illicit in his wallet. Well done to the both of us! Ah well, we went upstairs to get some rooter and wandered back down again where Craig was finally not busy. And yeah, left Craig to finish off his work while we went for a drive around the dormant town. I think I ended up getting home around 2:30 and fell asleep until I had to get up for work.
Fuck work was useless yet again. I was stuck out the back by myself because everyone else was at Bass In The Grass. Amazingly, it was still incredibly busy in there considering most people should have been at the concert. Instead, it must have been a calling card for both all of the ugly people and every single old person to go shopping at that one point. Hey, it was incredibly quiet out the back. At one point, I was having my tea break out there while reading some new Ralph magazine that I borrowed from the overstocks out there. Snuh-eaky. Because everyone was going to be at Bass In The Grass and all of the tickets had sold out, I was going to be having a quiet one saturday night. Or at least until I went in there to pick people up. I ended up just standing around near the front gates until I saw someone I recognised and sat there chatting to them until I again, found Nick, Daryl and Craig. I think I saw a couple of girls from Kmart there too, or at least, I heard “KMART!” and saw Teagan (I think?) and some really short girl that use to work on the registers. Anyway. Both Nick and Craig were rather bright eyed and bushy tailed (I tried to get a picture of Nick’s pupils, I dunno how well it went). It was incredibly funny. Craig was sitting there, well, he didn’t stay still, but he was quite the energetic happy fellow. Originally the plan was I was there to pick up Nick, Ellen and her friend. Next thing I knew, my car was planned for something like 6 or 8 people. Holy shit! Anyway, it eventually ended up Daryl, Craig and Nick trekking it to Craig’s house where I would meet up with them there and we’d decide on where we were going.
We ended up going to Nick Brown’s place near 24 and staying there for something like 10 minutes. Again, we acquired people and left a couple behind because they didn’t want to leave. Well, there were only meant to be a couple of people jumping in Craig’s car and going for a drive around town. Next thing we know, down comes: Hayley, Kirsty, Talyea, Daryl, Nick, Craig and myself; all to fit in Craig’s car just for a drive through Mitchell Street! Thinking about it, it was probably both safer and easier for me to take my car and follow Craig around. I think Hayley and Talyea thought the same thing. We honestly didn’t even get past 24 before I had to do an emergency stop and wait for Laura, and by that time we had already lost Craig. After finding him and deciding that he shouldn’t be driving around in town with the amount of police around, we decided on SDub yet again. It was on the drive there that there were problems, in my car at least. I dunno whether I should say too much, but there was an eventual break up over the phone. Anyway, we get to SDub, and I’m again off in Craig’s car this time taking Laura and Kirsty to get Laura’s stuff. We finally return, and everyone was sitting in my car because they were all cold outside. That, and I think because Craig was still imagining things, was scaring Hayley and Daryl. He was blabbling about noises in the bushes, which every now and then I would hear something. Incredibly funny though, watching Craig flip out because he would hear something, and because there wasn’t a fire going, there wasn’t any light to battle with the noises.
This by the way was all in the space of maybe 3 hours, and we ended up leaving SDub around 3:30 or something like that. I think out final destination was Hayley’s place and we were there until 5:30, or at least that’s when I got home. All in all, it was a good night, albeit I: didn’t end up going to Bass, and my night didn’t start until 11. Ah well, it was still fun. I’ve put up my latest pictures and videos from the past week. Now I’ve got a request from those who went to bass and read my blog. You need to register on my gallery and post whatever bass pictures you’ve taken. When I mean pictures, I mean every picture you took, regardless of the shocking quality of it! The more the merrier. If you’ve got too many pictures that would take forever to upload, then just speak to me on msn (jarryd@jarryd.net, just add me) or speak to me in person and I’ll grab your pictures off you. It’s a shame that I couldn’t go, but with pictures from everyone, it’ll be awesome otherwise.
